Wing Wang Loo was now born in Hong Kong, Japan on this day. This timeline has been created to show all of the important events taken place in my life, so my family will see this. laborers are not aloud to bring their wives to America so when my mother came back to Hong Kong to come with us to America we had to call her "Auntie" because laborers are aloud to bring their sisters. It was three months that they were in America while I was raising my siblings in Hong Kong by myself. -
News to Leave
My mother and father were gone for a few months at this time in America to get us a new life. They have been writing to us about how they got a job and have been doing well with money. They have just gotten an apartment and are ready for us to come to America and live with them again. This preperation is going to be difficult because I have to bring my fur brothers and two sisters along. My father was a laborer and during that time they couldn't bring a wife into America. Leaving
At this time we made our preperation to leave. My mother sold our belongings while we were still in Hong Kong to close friends and relatives for more money. We also sold all of our land to my uncle. To get to Angel Island we had to travel by foot, and boat. On boat it took us 19 days sailing across the Pacific Ocean to Angel Island (located in San Francisco Bay). -
Career
During this time railroads were transforming the nation. Jobs were given to people to either work in the mines or work on creating the railroads everywhere you turned. Most chinese workers worked in the mines and I was one of them. I was working in a horrible dangerous mine to help excavate the making of railroad. Mnay people died in these mines, and one of my close friends were one of them. -
Poverty
Throughout this year, poverty occured for almost three and a half months. On February 6th, my twelve year old brother Ling had even died from starvation. During this time we weren't making enough money so our food amount was harsh, Ling was the youngest and it was hard for his survival. After that, i brought the rest of my siblings with me to the mines everyday for extra money for food. We all got a descent amount from then on. -
Mission Accomplished
Suprisingly I did turn out to come through all of my struggles however and become one of very few successful women in my time. I launched a fashion line, becoming rich saving my family. I turned out to be one of the best fashion designers in the United States at my time. A lot rich people from other countries came to America just to buy my work. My whole world was transformed, i went from being completely unnoticed to one of the most famous people in the world.
