The conspiracies of Queretaro- Initiation
At this time the conspiracies of Queretaro are in effect and the leaders are going to meetings to talk about the plan to gain independence against the spanish. The leaders were Josefa Ortiz, and Miguel Hidalgo. -
The capture of conspirators-Initiation
In this date they are denounced by Francisco Buera, on comitting treason. They are all arrested except Hidalgo and Josefina because one isnt in the meeting and the was a woman. -
El Grito-Initiation
At this date marked the beginning of the Mexican Independence. This event is called the grito were Miguel Hidalgo summoned everyone to the churh in Dolores, their he rang the church bell and the Independance began. -
The battle of Granadita-Consolidation
This battle was a very important one when it came to the success of the Independance, the insurgents won against the Spanish army. The battle was successful mainly because of the heroic act of the Pipila, who burned the gates and let the insurgents in. -
Battle of Monte de las Cruces-Consolidation
This battle was against the spanish army and was one by Hidalgo and the insurgents. After this battle Hidalgo could fight in Mexico city but he decided to retreat because he thought his army was full of savages that would destroy the capital. -
Batalla de Puente de Calderón
In this battle the spanish army defeated the insurgents for the first time. The insurgents had to retreat and days after the capture of Hidalgo and Allende happen. -
The execution of Hidalgo-Consolidation
Hidalgo, Allende and other leaders were captured after the defeat in puente de calderon. Allende is killed earlier but in july 31, 1811: Hidalgo is executed after being found guilty of treason. -
The defeat of Jose Maria Morelos- Resistance
In november of 1815, while Morelos was escorting members of the congress he was attacked and defeated in Tezmalaca. He was later executed in December 22 because he was founded guilty of treason. -
Plan of Iguala-Consummation
In this date, the plan of Iguala is signed by Iturbide and it stats all of the proclamations of Mexico. This is just before the independence is won. -
Independence-Consummation
In this date the Mexican are able to gain Independence from Spain. They sign the treaty of Cordoba to make it official.
