  • Scott v. Sanford

    Dred Scott was a slave. His owner died when he was in a free states. The owner said he could be free, but there was no paper work. His owners wife wanted Dred to be a slave and demanded him to come back. He didn't and sued.The case went to the supreme court and they ruled that slaves are property and not people even if they were free. He was returned to his owener's wife.

    Reconstruction & Reconstruction Amendments

    The 15th and 14th amedment was added to protect people's rights. The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution declared that all persons born or naturalized in the United States are American citizens. Then the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution officially abolished and continues to prohibit slavery to this day.

    Plessy v. Ferguson was a court case a blck man took to the court because he sat on a white train. The court ruled that the 2 races were seprate but equal and seggergation is legal and costitutional.

    Scottsboro Boys is a group of black boys tried and found guilty for raping 2 white women. The boys were not guilty all of the evidance leaned to them being inncent.
  • George Stinney case

    George Stinney case was a little boy was blamed for the killing of 2 girls he was very young. He was 10 and was put to death by the jury and the eviedance was strongly in the 10 year olds favor of being innocent.
  • Brown v. Board

    Brown v. Board this ended school seggergation. The schools were almost the same, but they were seggergated, so the United States goverment ended school seggergation.
