    The High Middle Ages
    The high middle ages were between 1000-1299 and in Europe the population was increasing at a fast rate! Europe was becoming more socialy and politically organized. Trade and commerce between The Holy Roman Empire were increasing too, and the Holy Roman Empire also adopted the motte and bailey method in warfare. Other technology was also improving in these ages as well.

    Motte and Bailey
    A motte and bailey was a castle of the earth. The term motte was refered to terf, and bailey was refered to as low yard. There for it was a mound in the earth with wooden and stone built apon it. Was used for ware fare in the 11th century, in the high middle ages. It was spread by a group of people called the Normans who spread the idea of motte and baileys to England. In the 12th and 13th century they were adopted in Scotland, Ireland, the low countries, and Denmark.

    The Spinning Wheel
    The spinning wheel in the middle ages was one step toward more advance fabric making such as the sewing machine. The spinning wheel was used for spinning yarm used for fabrics. It later would be useing spinning wheel machinery rather than a hand wheel, such as the spinning jenny would be used in the industrial revolution from around 1760-1840s. This would later progress into a new idea of hand sewing which would be eliminated by hand sewing.

    Textile Mills
    In the industrial revolution textile mills were used for manufacturing goods such as silk, wool, cotton and other traditional fabric fibers. Thanks to the sewing machine this work of making clothing was able to be done at home but was also a mass production of military uniforms.

    Issac Singer, an american inventor, patented the first most efficent well functioning sewing machine. Was ment to make sewing in the home an option which many took the opportunity. Him company I. M. Singer & Co manufactured sewing machines and was a mass production. Which was later used to manufacture uniforms for the militar which can relate to how motte and bailies were also relivant to military.
