  • Struggles of King Charles I

    King Charles obtained unwanted issues from queen Elizabeth. He also struggled with parliament on the topic of money. This lead to the petition of rights being given to him. These rights were, 1. would not imprison subjects without cause 2. would not levy taxes without parliament consent 3. would not house solders in private homes 4. would not impose martial law in peacetime.
