    Industrialization of Britain
    As the Industrial Revolution soared, Britain became one of the most industrialized in the world. As they colonized and gained more access to raw materials, they possessed more power. As they progressed, more factories were built, and more trade routes/agreements were established. As Britain gained more money/power, they became responsible for new inventions and higher levels of education.
  • Women’s Suffrage

    Women’s Suffrage
    The Women’s Suffrage Movement was established at the Seneca Falls convention, conducted by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. They originally attempted to pass reform legislation, but later launched on women’s rights to vote. Numerous groups were formed, and eventually, in 1920, it was passed in Congress. It’s seen as the most significant accomplishment of women in the Progressive Era.
  • Franco-Prussian War

    Franco-Prussian War
    The Franco-Prussian War occurred due to France feeling threatened by Prussia and Spain, and felt as they would possibly combine forces. The Prussian King was rude about it, and a war broke out. The French were confident due to their industrialized weapons, while the Prussians saw war as an opportunity to unite the rest of Germany. The French collapsed, and treaties were signed, as well as other consequences.
  • Cuban Independence

     Cuban Independence
    The Cuban Independence followed a short period after the Ten Years War, as Spain canceled a trade pact with Cuba and the US.This imposed more taxes/trade on the Cubans.This ended up in Cuban forces being sent to control the eastern region/invade the western provinces,etc.These came back in horrific consequences. Many Cubans were placed in camps where they died by starvation and disease. The war soon ended, but many “rebels” still controlled the countryside. Soon, the Spanish-American War began.
  • Korean Colonialization

    Korean Colonialization
    Japan took control of the Korean peninsula in 1910.They ruled with an iron fist and suppressed Korea’s culture in their rule.Korea experienced an industrial boom. This included increases in urbanization,expanding commerce,and developments in radio and cinema. Most of this was encouraged by the Japanese only for their profit, not Koreas. After WWII broke out, the situation only worsened- with being worked in factories, sent as soldiers, and Comfort Women. This ended after the Japanese lost WWII.
