  • IB foundation (DP launching)

    The IB is founded in Geneva

  • MYP launching

    The MYP is introduced within the IB

  • Changes in assessment: decreasing the number of assessment components

    Now students are to take exams and write up research papers in each chosen subject. In the future the IB may decide to diminish the load: exams are required for each subject while research works are required for the subjects chosen at HL only, for example.

  • IB On-line learning system established

    Currently students can study some subjects using Pamoja. Apparently in the future the whole system will have its online alternative: all subjects can be studied online; teachers will be allowed to teach online and certain standards and requirements will be elaborated regarding online teaching in IB. A student may choose their educational path - either face-to-face or online.
    Exams in the DP will be taken online.

  • IB recognition by universities breakthrough

    Almost all universities recognize the IB Diploma. IB Diploma is necessary and sufficient condition for entering nearly each university in the world.
