Hainan Island Incident
This was a plane crash about 70 miles from the island of Hainan when a PLAN fighter plane and a US aircraft had an in air crash that resulted in the death of a PRC pilot. 24 Americans were captured and interrogated until the US government made a statement that settled and disputes.
