Hidalgo led an army od insurgents to mexican mining town, Guanajuato. A big battle occured as the mexicans reided the silver and the spanish defended themselves. -
The Battle of Monte de las Cruzes (INITIATION STAGE)
Spanish officers and bureoucrats knew the mexicans were planning a big revolution, after preparing themselves both armies met at el Monte de las Cruzes. -
The Battle of Calderon Bridge (CONSOLIDATION STAGE)
Mexican rebels commanded by Hidalgo and Allende ran from the royalist forces, they prepared to defend the Calderon Bridge which was the juncture to Guadalajara. -
Hidalgo's Death (CONSOLIDATION STAGE)
Hidalgo was taken to the bishop of Durango and was found guilty of treason, he was then shot by a firing squad. -
Battle of Temalaca (RESISTANCE STAGE)
Jose Maria Morelos commanded an army of insurgents to fight the army loyal to the crown. Morelos was captured and executed. -
Plan of Iguala (CONSUMMATION)
The plan started because mexico planned it would become a constitutional monarchy. Agustin de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero were behind the plan.
