    Marques De Rubi Report
    The king of spain wanted to make sure that the mission systems were working in Tejas, so he sent Marques De Rubi. Marques spent two years inspecting the missions in Texas. After his report he made the following recommendations for Spain: Spain should abandon all missions in Texas except for the ones in San Antonio and La Bahia, San Antonio should then replace Los Adaes as the capitol of Texas, al off the settlers in Tejas should be moved to San Antonio to strengthen the defenses of the mission.
