Treaty of Paris
Marked the end of the 7 years war, and the French threat to Spain was over. It required France and Spain to the British; France gave all the land around the Mississippi River and Canada while Spain gave them Florida. Once the trade was made France had no land in North America. -
Marques de Rubi Report
A report requested by the kind of Spain to inspect the missions and presidios in Texas. When Marques de Rubi finally returned he said that Spain should abandon all the missions in Texas except those at La Bahia and San Antonio, that San Antonio should be the new capital in Texas, that everyone should move to the San Antonio to strengthen the defenses of the missions and settlements there and that the Spanish should become friends with the Comanche to fight the Apache. -
