    1836 April 21 Santa Anna's army suffered defeat from an outraged texan army. They got punished in a very bad way. The put them in plain clothing and hid them out in the field.

    On April 25, 1846 the mexican cavalry attacked some american soldiers. When they were attacked they were in the disputed zone under command of zachary. The mexican killed about a dozen of people. After that the settled around the Rio Grande.

    1847 Feb santa maria face some bad casualties that made them withdraw. Meanwhile the us troops landed in veracruz and took over the city. After that they started moving towards mexico.

    1847 September Scott took over mexico city Chapultepec Castle. While the were taking over military cadets committed suicide because they didn't want to surrender.

    March 9 1847 general scott landed at veracruz with ten thousand soldiers. The went in to the mexican territory so they could surender. Scott got 260 miles past the mexican national highway.

    1848 Feb 2 a treaty was signed that rio grande the nucleus river is the mexican american border. The us agreed to sell most of north california to rio grande. Under the treaty mexico also recognised the us annexation of texas.
