Plutarco Elias Calles
Obregon is assasinated. Calles becomes President and has power until 1934 in a period known as Maximato as he maintained power through three presidents. They were basically his political puppets. -
Cristero Rebellion
A rebellion against the Mexican government by Roman Catholics due to the enforcement of the anti-clerical provisions of the Mexican Constitution of 1917. 90,000 people had died. -
