    The Xia Dynasty

    The Xia Dynasty was the first dynasty to begin. The fist ruler of the dynasty was Yu. Their was talk that their were 16 rulers in all. The dynasty ended by a rebellion that Zi Lu lead. The reason why the dynasty had an rebellion is because their last ruler ,Jie, fell in love with a cruel women ,and she corrupted the dynasty.

    Rice Cultivation

    Rice Cultivation
    Rice became getting important during the Zhou Dynasty and so on. During the Han Dynasty rice became apart of Chinas culture. In the Qin Dynasty rice became an important part of the Chinese dinner. Rice was used to brew wins and was a sacrifice from the gods. Rice was the main part of the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year.

    The Bronze Age

    The Zhou Dynasty was in rule while the Bronze Age was happening. The Zhou Dynasty made agricultural and civic improvements. The Zhou Dynasty still used bronze and jade but started to make objects out of iron. The Zhou people made weapons and containers out of iron. They also made tools out of iron like the plow. The Bronze Age was the period when the Silk Road was made.
  • Period: 551 BCE to 479 BCE

    Confucius

    Confucius was a famous philosopher. All his teachings was collected and made in a book called the Analects. He also believed that the society should be based on order. He made the 5 key relationships. The 5 key relationships were Father and son, Husband and wife, older brother and younger brother, and king and subjects. Confucius thought that family was more important besides family.

    Legalism

    The founder of Legalism was Han Feizi. He believed Chinawas falling apart from a lack of fairness between each other and respect. He alo believed that people were selfish and only does certain things for their self. He alo believed the rulers should be strict, have a strong military, and trust no one. The emperor Qin Shi Huang Di believed in Legalism and so he created a many laws. If someone disobeyed the rules they would be killed.
  • 214 BCE

    The Great Wall

    The Great Wall
    The Great Wall was built in 214BC. It was built by slaves. The wall was 3700 miles long. During the Han Dynasty the king expanded the great wall and added signal towers. After this dynasty the others weren't pleased with the wall. They neglected The wall and left it untouched. When the Ming Dynasty was in control they rebuilt the wall. The wall was made out of stone and bricks.

    Mongols Take Control of China

    In 1211 the Mongols started to take control of China. Since the Mongols rode on horses it made it faster for them to cover more land. Also since the Mongols could sleep without needing a fire, this helped them not trigger the Empires. They had waterproof bags for whenever they rode over water, and since they were good at shooting arrows on horseback it made it easier fo hem to kill the opposing side.
