MANIFEST DESTINY: The Philosophy that Built a Nation Before we begin our study of the contemporary American West, we must first learn how the West was won. This is a group project that allows YOU to choose your presentation platform. Your group may film a movie, create a powerpoint presentation, or perform a skit...Be creative! Your project must cover the following topics: What is Manifest Destiny? How did early America use Manifest Destiny? How did Manifest Destiny shape Westward Expansion? -
PRESENTATION STYLE DUE
Your group leader must submit the top two choices for your presentation style by the end of class on Thursday. Remember to be creative! -
COMPUTER LAB
Remember to meet in the Computer Lab. We will use the entire class period for your group to begin researching Manifest Destiny and planning your presentation. Presentation styles will be awarded at the beginning of class. -

We will meet in the Computer Lab on Monday and Tuesday. These are your final two days using class time to work together as a group before your storyboards are due on Wednesday, September 18. Work hard! -

STORYBOARDS DUE
Your storyboards for your presentation are due at the beginning of class. Include: group name, presentation style, typed outline of information to be included in your project, and storyboard worksheet with a basic script for your presentation. -
COMPUTER LAB
Remember to meet in the Computer Lab. We will use the entire class period to review and revise your presentations based on the edits on your storyoards. This is the last class period that we will spend in the Computer Lab focusing on this project. Use your time wisely! -
