Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October, 1869.He was born in Porbandar, India and his parents Putlibai his mother and his father’s name was Karamchand.

Childhood

1882

During his years at school, Gandhi was considered an average student. In 1882 he got married to kasturbai at the age of 13.

Left for Africa

1893

Left for south Africa as a member of the Indian delegation.Mahatma Gandhi left because he studied law there.

Natal

1894

On 22nd ,1894 august mahatma Ghandi founded the ‘Natal Indian Congress.Natal Indian congress was found in Africa.

Released from jail

1913

Mahatma Gandhi was released from jail unconditionally with others, before the completion of the period of imprisonment.

Rights

1921

Gandhi adopted the short dhoti woven with hand-spun yarn as a mark of identification with India's rural poor. Gandhi led nationwide campaigns for easing poverty, expanding women's rights, building religious and ending untouchability and above all, achieving self-rule.

Resigned

Mahatma Gandhi resigned from congress in 1934. it did not mean that he would cease to take interest in the politics of the country.

Death

Jan 20, 1948

On 1948 he was gunshot in the prayer meeting.Sadly Mahatma Gandhi had passed away.
