My first grade teacher let me borrow more books from her library as I continued all the series she gave me. My parents couldn't keep up with all the books I wanted so the go to gift from family members became Barnes 'n Nobles gift cards.

My book collection was growing too much to be contained to my small shelves or the living room shelves. So, my parents went and bought two Ikea bookshelves to hold everything.

My Fifth grade teacher believed that the cursive skills we learned in the third grade shouldn't go to waste. So we had to write and hand in every homework assignment in cursive or points would be taken off.

My best friend started reading the Percy Jackson series and we borrowed the books from the school library. Me and my brother begged my parents for the whole series and we would fight over who got to read the next book first.

When school got shut down for COVID in 2020 life became very boring at home after the first week. Me and my friend passed the time and stayed connected by writing a book together. We never finished but coming up with characters and a story was some of the most fun I had.

My Eighth grade teacher would always catch me reading in class while she was teaching. Usually though she would let me keep reading as long as I completed the work on time.

In Ms. Plumey's class last year we did a unit on Edgar Allen Poe. I loved reading his works so much I bought a book of his short stories and poems. I also enjoyed writing a retelling of his poem "The Raven" from the Raven's perspective
