Booth panned to kidnap Lincoln for Confederate Army prisoners. Other men plotted to do this along with Booth. Their plan fails.

Booth hears about Lincolns apperance at the play that night and conspires with other men to kidnap and kill Lincoln, Vice president Johnson and Secretary of State William Seward.
Lincoln's murder is the only one carried out. Booth shoots him in the back of the head during "Our American Cousin" and fleas the scene. -
Lincoln is brought to Peterson's boarding house across the street where he is cared for until he dies the next morning. He is pronounced dead at 7:22

Five of the other people who helped Booth in the murder are arrested, Lewis Powell, Michael O’Laughlen, Edman Spangler, Samuel Arnold and Mary Surratt.

Lincoln's funeral is held at the White House

Troops find Booth in a barn in Virginia. They set fire to the farm and shots aer fired. It's unknown if it was suicide or if one of the men shot him first.
