    20's
    In your 20's you need to make good lifestyle choices and avoid accidental injury. To have a healthy diet, you need to limit fast food intake, eat lean meats, and eat nonfat or low dairy products. Exercise is recommended regularly in order to maintain a healthy weight. In order to prevent diseases, protect your skin and eyes. Avoid tanning salons, and practice good hygiene. Most importantly, find a primary care provider. They will help you with any other medical concerns you have.
  • 30's

    30's
    In your 30's, due to metabolism slowing down you need to maintain a healthy weight. Make sure to eat a healthy diet with many vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and lean protein. Limit your intake of salt, and ask your healthcare provider about vitamin supplements. Make sure you exercise regularly to prevent osteoporosis and cancer. To avoid health problems, don't smoke, drink alcohol in moderation, reduce your stress level, and monitor your BMI, cholesterol levels, and blood pressure.
  • 40's

    40's
    In your 40's you may be faced with many health problems. So it is important to monitor your Cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure more often then usual. If you have family history of cancer, it is important to screen for it. Update your immunizations. Exercise regularly to prevent high weight and heart problems. Eating well is an important part of your diet. Avoid fast food and don't smoke or drink to excess.
  • 50's

    50's
    Even if you have been healthy your whole life, you are still getting older. You need to cut back on sodium and only eat low fat foods. You need to get at least 30-60 minutes of exercise every other day. You need to stimulate your body (running, weight lifting, yoga) and your brain as well (talking with people, taking up a hobby, joining a club) Make sure you screen for cancer, bone density, and always be sure to find time for a physical exam.
  • 60's

    60's
    At this point of you life you are retired or considering retirement. With your new free time, you need to make sure to exercise for at least 30 minutes every other day. You need to make sure to monitor your BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol level, and weight. You need to cut back on processed, high fat and sugary foods. Also watch out for the signs of osteoporosis, arthritis, strokes, and certain cancers.
