Healthy eating: Eating right; avoid smoking and drink alcohol in moderation.
Physical activity: Exercise regularly to prevent stress, and get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity on most days.
Preventive health care: Get physical exam, dental exam, eye exam, blood pressure screening, cholesterol screening, diabetes screening, and skin exams. -
50's
Healthy eating: Eat good nutrition, less salt. Limit unhealthy fats, and get lots of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, healthy fats, whole grains, fiber, vitamins and minerals.
Physical activity: Get 30-60 minutes on most days. Walk, jog, swim, hike. Get aerobic exercise for a healthy heart.
Preventive health care: Get physical, dental, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, skin, and cancer tests. Don't smoke, get enough sleep, and reduce stress. -
60's
Healthy eating: Eat fruits and vegetables, whole grain, low fat dairy, lean meats and proteins. Have limited processed foods that have high fat and sugar.
Physical Activity: Get at least 30 minutes of exercise on most days. Find the right type of exercise.
Preventive health care: Get regular checkups, health screenings, immunizations, breast exams, colonoscopy, pelvic exams, and check for shingles.
