First home
I got the keys to my condo. My first home that was mine. My own washer and dryer. A bathroom I did not have to share. And no one I was paying ret to. It was a good day! -
Finding Truth
Jessy was assigned a homeowrk project to research his famiy tree. In doing so, he called an uncle down in the states who told him "who you think is your dad is your uncle, and who you think is your brother is your cousin, your adopted." I dont know how much more you could be hit with Eriksons "identity vs. confusion".
After a few heart to heart talks, he was able to form his identity and move forward. -
Truth
Kevin came out at 17, and told everyone he is gay. It was hard for him since he came from a very religiouse back ground, and his family was hoping he would marry a girl who was the daughter of a family friend. It took a lot of soul searching for him to get through the "identity vs. confusion", but he was able to do it successfuly! -

Good Deads!
Within this year, 2 of my friends and I all hit birthdays that totalled 75. We decided to challenge ourselves, and each do 75 good deads at random by the end of the year, and we succeeded! This would have been Ericksons Middle Adulthood "Generativity vs. Stagnation" stage event. -
End of an era
Lucey retired! After almost 50 years of working for the school board, she is looking forward to relaxing and spending more time with (just) the grand kids! Ericksons end stage of " Generativity vs. stagnation". This will allow Lucey to get more involved with her grandchildren, and allow the parents to save on chid care and stabalise thie lives for themselves and thier children -
Unions
A family friend just celebrated a wedding; her only child got married to a great person, and are lookng forward to having kids and settling donw. They have been together about 2.5 years, and work in the same field. Ericksons "intimacy vs. isolation". -
Thanksgiving in Fairbanks
Debra and Karen went to Faribanks to visit Karen's daughter and grand daughter. While at the hotel, the grand daughter got a little to excited with playing and tried to "jump" on Debra's face while she was lying down. It was explaine to her why this was unaceptable. She was experienceing Ericksons "Initiative vs. guilt". She learned fom the experince and moved on.
