Moving
I moved from Magnolia, Arkansas to Little Rock when I was 7 years old. We moved here at the beginning of the summer, which gave me time to make some friends before starting school that fall. Immediately after settling in, I loved Little Rock and all the people here. Everyone at my new school made me feel welcome, making it a very easy transition. Moving has shaped the person I am today because at a very young age I learned how to make new friends and adjust to a different atmostphere. -
Lakehouse
The summer of 2007 was my family's first night at our new lakehouse on Greers Ferry Lake. Ever since, we have been at our lakehouse every weekend during the summer and even some during the rest of the year. Being at the lake with my family and friends has brought me closer to many people. We have made memories on the lake that will not be forgotten. Days on the lake have taught me how to have fun, while also being responsible and cautious of everything around you, as well as to try new things. -
Jasmine
On my 10th birthday, my parents surprised me with the news that I could get a puppy. A couple of weeks later, we drove to Texas and picked up our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Jasmine. Since she was my birthday present, she has been my very own dog and I have had to take care of her. Having Jasmine has shaped me as a person because she has taught me responsibility and that if you really want something, you have to be willing make the sacrifices that come along with that certain thing. -
Waldemar
The summer after my 6th grade year, I went to Waldemar, a month-long all girls camp in Hunt, Texas. I've gone there for the last three years and will continue to go for the next two. I have met some of my best friends and made memories that will last a lifetime there. Waldemar has taught me how to step out of my comfort zone and has also made me more outgoing. The tribal aspect of camp has made me more compitive, but a good sport. The traditional atmosphere has also shaped me into a young lady. -
Italy
On August 1st, my family and our friends the Lewings left for a 10 day trip to Italy. While on vacation, we visited Rome, Florence, and Venice. Visiting Italy was a great experience, and I got closer to my family and our friends. This trip shaped the person I am today because l became more knowledgeable about Italy's history, I got to be exposed to a different culture, and I realized my love for traveling. -
Tetons
On August 14th, the freshman class embarked on our week-long journey to the Teton Science School. This was a very important event in my life because I got closer to many people that I will spend my high-school years with. Along with making memories, this trip was very educational.
