    Scientific Revolution

    Time where most of the scientists tried to use mathematics to find the explanation of everything that happened. Great advances in physics, biology, mathematics, etc. Also creation of new invention that innovated the world. Relied on Aristotle thoughts. But they didn't question the world around them.

    Enlightenment

    New ways of thinking starting by several important persons of Europe (philosophers). Tried to implement it to the government by believing in the natural rights. Many people stopped believing only what the church and monarchs said.

    Enlightenment Absolutism

    This was a new type of monarchy were the monarchs tried to adapt their government to enlightenment ideas without loosing their power. Most of the monarchs who tried to use this were of the following countries: Russia , Prussia and Austria. None of the monarchs really succeeded because the society wasn't used to that mentality but Joseph II did got to abolish serfdom and eliminated death penalty.

    Glorious Revolution

    James II king of England was replaced by his daughter Mary II and her husband William III of Orange after England asked for a new monarch (protestant) because they were tired of James being strictly catholic.

    Before American Revolution

    Before The American Revolution many little events lead to it for example the Stamp Act where the British included taxes for everything. Another was the Boston Tea Party where many people from the colonies threw all the tea from some British ships in sign for their angriness of adding taxes.

    American Revolution

    All started with the First Continental Congress where several states delegates talked about their nonconformities. In the Second Congress they organized an army to fight for their Independence. Enlightenment ideas helped colonies people stand for their rights.On July 4th, 1776 Thomas Jefferson writes the Declaration of Independence. As France was a colonies ally they signed the Treaty of Paris in which they recognize American Independence.
