The first Costco in the Peoria area opens in the Levee District, becoming the first major business to do so. -
Levee District Gets Is Named
Out of 264 entries submitted by local, the city of East Peoria selects East Peorian Don Taylor's entree. The new shopping area is officially named The Levee District. -
Levee District Grand Opening
Target officially celebrates it's opening in the Levee District with a ribbon cutting ceremony. -
New Fondulac Library Opens
The new Fondulac Library building opens, replacing the old building located off of East Washington Street. -
Break Ground on New City Hall
An official ceremony took place to celebrate the breaking of the ground for the new city hall. The new location will be located right next to the library. The current city hall is located on South Main Street, under a half mile away from where the new building will be located.
