    Leonardo De Vinci was born on April 15 1452. This is an important event because he would grow t be a famous painter and he would change the way past engineers and inventors thought with his new inventions and ideas.

    in 1467, at 15 years old Leonardo's father apprenticed him to Andrea del Verrocchio. This is were he would learn stragies on painting which would help with his future works.

    Leonardo de Vinci opened his own studio in 1478. this is important because it would be the start of his career and he would have a great place to think of inspiration.

    In 1480, he invented the parachute. It was a revolutionary idea that would, in the future, be put to good use. He was able to make something that would be something necessary and would help people.

    In 1481, he received a major church commission for the Adoration of the Magi. His work wasn't only appreciated by regular people but also by the people who worked in the church. In that time period the church was very strict so it shows that his work was inspiring and was something that didn't go against anything in the bible.

    in 1482 he left Florence to accept a post of court artist for the Duke of Milan. this is impotant because it shows that he was being noticed for his paintings.

    In 1492 he drew a flying machine. It proved his talent in engineering and proved how smart he was to even think of how to design such a machine. In that time period many did not understand physics.

    In 1502, he was assigned an engineering project for Kesare Borgia. Other than his talent in art, people were starting to notice his genius in different subjects. He would start to be seen as a man of many talents.

    In 1503 he finished the Mona Lisa. It would grow to be his most famous painting and make him a well known artist. It is know found in the Louvre museum in Paris, France.

    in 1518 you could get a liscense to import 4000 African slaves to Spain. this would be a big part of the slave trade through countries and would deeply affect Spain and Africa.

    He died on May 2, 1519. It wasn't an event that anybody celebrated. It was important because other artists, engineers and scientists would be inspired by his life's work and ideas.
