    On November 20, 1459 the ‘Wars of the Roses’ between the houses of Lancaster and York took place again. This was when the Civil War in England was renewed. In October of 1460 it was turned around and York returned to England.

    In 1471 Edward IV. King of England defeats and kills Richard. Earl of Warwick at Barnet defeats Queen Margaret and kills Prince Edward at Tewkesbury and enters London. Henry IV was murdered in the tower in London.

    In 1473 Leonardo Da Vinci became a member of the painters guild of St. Luke.This is where he started his career. He executed his first work that could be ascribed to him with confidence. It was a drawing of The Arno Valley.

    In 1490 the first beginnings of ballet began when a balli spectacular for Bergonzio di Botta to entertain the Duke of Milan was created. The artistic interpretation of the dance was to mirror the harmony of the celestial bodies, to establish order out of chaos, and to bestow peace to the people in the audiance.

    Last Supper

    Leonardo Da VInci started his painting Last Supper in 1495 and finished it in 1497. This painting is still around today. Instead of using the traditional fresco medium theam he used an oil based medium.

    In 1505 the Portuguese found factories on the east coast of Africa. Francisco de Almeida left Lisbon with a crew of 22 ships and 2,500 men. The Indian Rulers built factories along the East Coast of Africa and men worked in these factories.

    Equestrian Statue

    In 1506 Leonardo Da Vinci was called to Milan by the French Governor in charge at the time to work on the Equestrian Statue. 1506- 1513 were spent on this project. During this time he didnt make any new paintings and he started researching anatomy.

    In 1510 the American east coast was discovered up to charleston. The portugese were the ones who discovered up to charleston. In 1492 Christopher Colombus ran into America on his journey.

    In 1517 Leonardo Da Vinci painted Study of Deluge which was his last painting before he died. The painting was inspired by the mountain storms he saw as a child. Leonardo in his later life Leonardo drew from his imagination some violent storms mostly the effects of swirling waters.

    In April of 1519 Leonardo Da Vinci wrote his will. He had the royal notary have it read and recorded. He also read and recorded it in the presence of Giovanni Francesco and several others.

    Death

    On May 2, 1519, Leonardo Da Vinci passed away at Cloux. His death is unknown but scientists beileve he died of natural causes. His right hand was paralyzed at this time and he was 67 years old.
