Toussaint L'Ouverture (former black slave owner) Started the revolution with 100,000 slaves in 1791. He wanted to revolt and gain Independence from France.

In May, (a few months later) Toussaint agreed to halt/stop the Revolution if the French would end slavery. However, the French later accused Toussaint of planning another uprising and imprisoned him. On January 1st 1804, General Dessalines declared the colony an independent country. Haiti became the first black colony to free itself from European control.

The Brazilian Revolution has ended in 1822 september 7th. King John wanted to make Brazil its own colony which he did. He is considered a hero. This revolution lasted only one day and was a successful revolution that won the Independence of Brazil.

The end of the South American Revolution was a success. The last major battle for the Independence of Latin America in Ayachu or Peru. The later countries became the Gran Colombia which consisted of Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador.
