    The Haitian Revolution lasted about 13 years. It all started in August 21, 1791. It all started because the white masters would mistreat the African slaves to where they wouldn't even be humans anymore. They got so tired of it that there was an uprising to defeat the whites and claim their freedom and natural rights. The leaders were Toussaint L'ouverture and Jean Jaques.
