Horses were first domesticated for transportation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. -

Horse and Carriage
These were first used in Egypt for warfare. This later got used in Europe and Asia for transporting people. It carried 2-4 passengers. -

This was a German vehicle powered by petrol/ gasoline. It was invented in Mannheim, Germany by Karl Benz.
