The Gunpowder Plot is suppoed to go into effecrt on the day of November 5, 1605. Guy Fawkes is caught lighting fuses to barrels of gunpowder in the basment of Parliament. -
Convicted of Treason
In January 1606 King James was convicted of high treason and hung. -

In 1625, King James VI dies. His son Charles I becomes king of England and Scotland.
