    The first radio station broadcasted, KDKA in Pittsburgh. This marked radios becoming a huge communication tool.
  • 1940’s

    Television began to replace radio as the main source of information
  • 1960’s

    This marked the first presidential debate to be recorded on television.
  • 1980’s

    CNN made a big move to become the first 24 hour news channel.
  • 1990’s

    Technology began to excel in ways we’ve never seen. The internet started to take over, created instant information access.
  • 2004

    Social media began to change communication. Facebook launched and changed everything.
  • 2005

    After that came YouTube. Which led to video content becoming the face of media.
  • 2010’s

    Instagram and Netflix began to also kick off, which changed the way people consume information and news, though keep people attached to screens.
  • 2020’s

    This is the era of misinformation online, and AI on the come up. Creating things like robots and fully self driving cars.
