Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971 in Orlando, Florida. It took around seven years of planning. There was around 5,000 visitors and around 5,000 cast members, Walt Disney World was made for families and friends to go have fun.
This event was important because it was a tribute Walter Elias Disney and to the talent of the entire Disney organization. Many people were excited about the opening of Walt Disney World. -

Winning the game 117-85. They played 8 games and won all of them. They won each game by about 43.8 points. The team consist of 12 players a few of them were Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley and many more. -

On October 6th 1993 Michael Jordan decides to retire from basketball to play baseball. He began playing for the White Sox minor league team the Birmingham Barons. He played baseball for one season. After that season he returned to basketball.
This was important because it was a big event for basketball because he was the best player in the league at the time. He joined baseball after winning three NBA championships in a row. -

On September 11, 2001 at 8:45 a.m. the attack of 9/11 began. Two planes had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the pentagon just outside Washington, D.C. The fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. -

Rebuilding the World Trade Center
The rebuilding of the World Trade Center began on April 27, 2006. It opened on November 3, 2014. This tower is one of the tallest towers in the world. The World Trade Center is located in New York.
This was important because it was to show respect to the victims and survivors of 9/11. They also made a memorial to show respect to the victims. -

This event showed that we respected the people that were injured or killed. Many people visit the tower and the memorial to learn the history of 9/11. The memorial was finished being constructed three years before the tower was. -
