Josh's Life Timeline

  • Birth

    Birth
November 22 2000, I was born in Sound Shore Hospital in New Rochelle. I was predicted to come in late December, however I came early. In fact, I was born 2 day after my sisters Birthday, making us a year and 2 day apart. It was around 11AM on Thanksgiving day, and only my Mom and Dad were in the hospital, because everyone else wanted to stay home and prepare food. After I was born, and taken into a separate room, my grandma came later in the night with a container of food for my mom to eat.
  • Joining Chess Club

    Joining Chess Club
The second Friday of 3rd grade at Hutchison elementry school was club day. Club day was when students got to pick a club, then every Friday in the morning, they went to that club. There were so many clubs I wanted to join but I couldn't get that luxury because my mom signed me up for Chess Club. I was so disappointed, because back then, I thought Chess was boring. After joining and praticing each day to get better, I began to slowly enjoy it. Chess then became my favorite board game of all time
  • Moving to Brewster

    Moving to Brewster
This was the day I moved to Brewster. I can say I was both happy and sad. That is because I was leaving my old home to come to a new one, which meant meeting new people and doing different things, I moved into a complex that had kids around my age. I was the only black kid in my friend group, however that never stop us from having fun. I eventually realized that even though it was different, moving here wasn't so bad. It really widen my knowledge on things, because I was able to experience more
  • Winning The Rose Bowl

    Winning The Rose Bowl
Being on the football team itself was amazing, but winning the rose bowl was one of the best things ever. At first, I thought I wasn't going to play because I showed up late, but luckily I was able to. Winning this game taught me 2 things. One being "teamwork make the dream work". In other words, I learned that working together is what really won that game. Also, I learned that working hard is the best thing, because at the end, you'll notice that everything payed off.
  • First Pet

    First Pet
My first pet was a hamster. It was a late birthday gift from my Aunt and she thought it would teach me how to be responsible. However, I was the reason the hamster died. I hated changing its cage, and I hated him being in my room. That is because at 1am he would go on his wheel, which made this annoying squeaking sound, so I would leave him in my living room. One day, when I woke up, he wasn't there. Somehow he managed to escape. It wasn't till then I realized I needed to be more responsible
  • No Longer the Youngest

    No Longer the Youngest
This was the day I became an older brother, and the day my life changed. Having the thought of being a bad role model has always been in my head. I had noticed that I wasn't responsible, but my brother managed to change that. Not only did he encouraged me to do better in school, he also boosted my maturity after the countless hours of babysitting.
  • Failing A Regents

    Failing A Regents
Geometry was by far my most hated class ever. I did well in the class mainly because I studied, but I never really grasped the subject. I didn't really study for the regents, because I thought I was going to do fine with the curve, but I was completely wrong. I had no idea what I was doing on the day of the test. I was going to get angry, but summer was right there, so I simply just gave up, which later resulted with the failing grade I got
  • Mom getting Married

    Mom getting Married
My mom getting married to my current step father was bound to come. My mom has been dating him for about 5 years, but It was weird because I barely knew him; we didn't really talk much, however he was a really nice person towards my mom. My mom talked about getting married for a while, so it wasn't suprising when it happened. It was a big change, but I'm comfotable with change.
  • My Sister Going Away

    My Sister Going Away
We woke up at the crack of dawn in order to pack the car with her stuff. It was a 6 hour drive to Buffalo, so we had to leave early. She was so excited to be on her own, but I kinda wasn't. There was no more asking her for help with assignments, I had no one to wake me up, when I slept through my alarm, and I couldn't ask for money anymore. This meant I had to do everything on my own. When we dropped her off, we helped unpack, then I hugged her goodbye
  • Passing my Road Test

    Passing my Road Test
I had tons of practice with driving, but for some reason, on the day of the test, I felt like I knew nothing. I was extremely nervous, and I was driving really slow. I was trying so hard not to mess up. Coincidentally, me and my instructor had the same birthday, so maybe she was lenient with the points. However, I was really close to failing, because I was deducted points off of parallel parking, and I wasn't observant. Nonetheless, I passed my road test!
