the purpose was to lower the tax in hopes that it would deacrease smuggling and also that more people would pay this tax. the outcome was that it let officers seize goods from smugglers without going to court. -
the stamp act
the purpose was to make anything that was printed like playing cards or news papers sct. were taxed.
the outcome of this was colonist boycotted and rioted until they repealed the stamp act -
declaratory act
the purpose it allowed parialment to have control of the rights to tax and make decisions for the colonies.
the outcome it caused parialment to tax colonies as they please. -
townshend act
the purpose it was an internal tax for imported good the outcome was that the daughter of liberty made clothing for the colonist and made food for them as well. -
tea act
the purpose allowed the tea company solen control of the trade of tea in america.
the outcome merchants boycotted the tea company, then the daughters of liberty then brewed there own tea instead. -
Coercive act
the purpose closed boston harbors until massachusettes pays for the ruined tea (boston tea party).
the outcome it isolated Boston from the other colonies -
Quebec act
the purpose this law set up a government for Quebec, it gave quebec the area west appalachion mont. and the north ohio vally.
