President John F. Kennedy Gives His Last Speech
Little did JFK know that this would be his last public speech in Texas. -
The President Leaves His Hotel
After his speech, JFK and Jackie head back to their hotel. Shortly after, they must leave again. They leave in a motorcade, a white Lincoln convertible, and head to Carswell Air Force Base. -
Departure from the Air Force Base
JFK, along with his wife, depart Carswell Air Force Base and head to Dallas, Texas, on board Air Force One. -
Greeting the Crowd
The President and Jackie greet the crowd of people awaiting them, once they land at Love Field. There were more than 2,500 people waiting to meet with the couple. -
Assassination of JFK
The President and Jackie leave Love Field in their motorcade to attend a luncheon at the Dallas Trade Mart. As the motorcade passes the Adolphus Hotel, with thousands of people lining the streets, the President and the Governor are shot. -
Rushed to the Hospital
JFK and Governor Connally are rushed to Memorial Hospital. During this time, Police see and stop Lee Harvey Oswald, however, they let him go. Oswald rushes out of the scene of the crime. -
JFK is Dead
The doctors announce that John F. Kennedy passed away. Shortly after this, Police find shotgun shells at the 6th floor window of the Texas School Book Depository, which is where the police found Oswald, before letting him go. -
Oswald is Captured
Lee Harvey Oswald is finally arrested and is taken to the Dallas Police Headquarters where he is further questioned about the murder of the President. -
JFK's casket
After he is pronounced dead, the Secret Service take JFK's body to Love Field Airport and is loaded onto Air Force One. -
Lyndon B. Johnson is Sworn into Office
On Air Force One, standing beside Jackie Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson is sworn into office. Later that day he makes his first statement as President of the United States. During this time, an autopsy is performed on JFK. -
Oswald is Charged
Lee Harvey Oswald is arrested for the murder of officer J.D. Tippit. He is processed and later fingerprinted for the crime. On November 23, 1963 Oswald is charged with the murder of JFK.
