    Pearl HarborA man from Honolulu gave us his descritption of the events. "I woke up that Sunday morning like any other Sunday. I was getting ready for church and then the ground started to shake and planes filled the sky. I remember looking up at the planes and a japanese piolt waved and laughed at me. I drove down to the harbor to help in any way possible. I saw the carnage and hoped nothing bad would happen to me or any other japanese americans becasue of the attack by Japan."

I rushed home and they were there becasue I owned a pistol for my families protection. They told me that I'm no longer allowed to own firearms."

I feel like the government thinks i'm against the nation. I was born here and don't have any allegances to Japan."

    9066 order A reaction to the new presidential order. " I noticed all these signs on the streets that said Japanese Americans must pack up and come to a depot on a specific date. This is wrong and unjust. The government is ruining my families and my lives."

    Camps On our continued covererage. " After we went to our depot at our sloted time. We were boarded onto buses and transported to the facilities in the middle of nowhere. My kids were excited because all their friends were coming along. However my wife and I both knew this wasn't going to be a fun vacation.

    Nisei Combat Unit "We have been in this camp for awhile now and I might have found a way out for my son. He is turning 18 soon and a new combat team of all japanese americans is being created. I would rather he be out in the world then stuck behind the fences."

I was born in this country and they think i'm not loyal. All these actions that the government has done towards us japanese americans is really making me sour."

    D-DAY "Today was the biggest day in America's history. The largest land invasion ever done by a military force. I am proud but at the same time mad. While I think that this war is necessary i just don't agree with how this government is controling my race. I hope this all ends soon."

    Court " The Supreme Court desicion came out with ruling in favor of the camps. I am outraged by the court's desicion. The constitution doesn't allow this kind of tourture. If we have to stay in this camp for much longer I might as well be a japanese citizen."

    Freeing "I got a message from my son. He said that he had just found a Nazi camp and freed the people in it. He also said it was the worst and most horiffic sight he has ever seen. I'm so proud of my son but the things that those Nazi's were doing are horrific."
