The attack of Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack on the U.S. on December 7, 1941. Completely unexpecting the attack, th U.S. was badly damaged during the conflict. Bombers flew in, destroying U.S. ships, planes, and carriers. This attack on America was what triggered Franklin D. Roosevelt to declare war upon Japan. -

Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
In the summer of 1942, a large group of jews were sent off to another concentration camp from Warsaw, and news of a mass murder was sent back to the Warsaw camp. Scared of the news that they recieved, a large group of young jews in the concentration camp started a resistence called the Z.O.B. The Z.O.B was led by 23 year old Mordecai Aneiliwicz. Using a small stash of smuggled weapons, the group resisted the transition from Warsaw into other camps. This was the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. -
