First Tryout!
He tried out for the Boston Red Sox but the team and manager did not show up to watch his tryout.Later that year he signs with the Dodgers. -
He made his MLB debut!
he signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1945 but played his first game in 1947. He was the first player to break the color barrier in baseball. He was named Rookie of the Year!
