The Israeli counterattack resulted in winning large amount of territories. Which were later claimed as their new national borders. Over 720000 Palestinian Arabs were displaced as a consequence. -
The Six Day War
Israel fought a war with Egypt, Jordan and Syria on June 1967. To be precise, the war lasted for 6 days and 9 hours and it was the shortest war ever recorded. Israel won the war and claimed the Gaza strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. They even claimed East Jerusalem and the West Bank from Jordan and also the Golan Heights from Syria. Another 500000 Palestinians were displaced in result of their defeat. -
The Palestinian protest against Israelis
In 1987, the infada (mass uprising of Palestinians) started a protest group against the Israelis for their extrajudicial killings, detentions and demolishing houses with their own free will. The infada protesters protest by throwing things at Israelis army and their vehicles. This caused deaths, in the first 13 months of the protest, 332 Palestinians were killed and even 13 Israelis were killed as well. -
The Oslo Peace Process
In 1993, Israel and Palestine Liberation Organisation agreed to recognize each other, and signed a Declaration of Principles providing for Palestinian self-government in the West Bank and Gaza Strip for five years.This event made peace possible between these two parties. After a year, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and Yasser Arafat were awarded the noble peace price for their roles in the Oslo record. -
Yitzhak Rabin assassination

The second intifada was the second uprising against Israeli, this intifada happened when the Israeli opposition leader, Ariel Sharon visited Temple Mount (a place that's sacred to both Jews and Palestinians) with politicians and Israeli riot police. The Separation Barrier
Since 2002, Israel has been building a separation wall that's 700 km long and 8 meters tall (4.3 meters taller than the Berlin Wall), apparently for security purposes. This created a lot of inconvenience towards travelling and entering Westbank and Israel. People who wants to enter of leave Israel or Westbank would have to go through several security checks to be granted entry.
