    It uses a piston connected to a rocking beam. The beam is connected by a rod to the pumps.Going out the cylinder is filled with steam and is then injected with cold water. It pulls the piston down and raises the plunger.

    The steamboat is a watercraft that is propelled by steam. It was mainly used during the 19th century on rivers. The engine would burn coal and turn water into steam powering the boat.
