Eli Whitney- alllowed to make parts exactly the same every time. easier on money so you can buy a single part instead of buying a new object. -
Steamboats
Robert Futton-The steamboat takes passengers and cargo easily across rivers. It made it easier and quicker to cross rivers. -
Erie Canal
John C. Calhoun- river dug to connect the port of New York City and the Great Lakes. Opened up Ohio for transportation of farm products & development plus Westward expansion was made easier. -
Telegraph
Samuel F. B. Morse- machine used to communicate by tapping out codes that could be translated. Sped up communication from different places that are far away. -
Steel PLows
John Deere- The steel plow allowed farmers to turn heavy, gummy prarie sod easily. It made farming much less physical demanding. -
Transcontinental Railroad
Central Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad- railroad that connected the pacific and atlantic oceans. Improved the transportation of goods and people would be moving from place to place much quicker.
