Orientation
From 11-1 p.m
Interns arrive at Polytechnic. They get a tour of the campus and are shown the rooms they will be working in. They are introduced to the professors and the research students that will be involved in the program and are given a definitive schedule of the rest of the summer. -
First Day
Today the interns will be completing a course in coding and given some information on the specific programs at Poly.
Morning 10-12: community service aspect- figuring out a way to integrate STEM into more high schools and reaching out to youth in the community
afternoon 1-3: Introduction to coding or some respective subject -
Second Day
Today students will be introduced to the different forms of engineering.
Morning 9-12: figuring out a way to integrate STEM into more high schools and reaching out to youth in the community.
Lunch
Afternoon: Introduction to engineering or other subject and how it relates to Poly. -
Third Day
Students are introduced the area of robotics
Morning: figuring out a way to integrate STEM into more high schools and reaching out to youth in the community

Afternoon: introduction to robotics
- After this day the students will choose which area they wish to concentrate on. Each team will decide on a project/problem to work on for the rest of the internship. -
From June 20-July 20
In this time frame, the interns will be working on their respected projects/the areas they wish to study.
During this time, there might be trips to local companies that incorporate STEM into their businesses. -
July 25,26
Students will prepare presentations for the work they have done over the summer. -
Presentation Day
10 a.m - 1 p.m.
Students will present their projects to the teachers/college students/ faculty/other at Poly. They will receive a certificate/award for their hard work.
If the students have come every day they will have achieved 105 hours in community service
