John Deere made the first plow. He made it in the Mid-West, which that was about the time when the Mid-West first got settled into. -

Erastus Bigelow invented a power loom in 1838. I was used for weaving knotted counterpanes and coach lace. -
Sewing Machine
Elias Howe made the sewing machine. -
Safety Pin
Walter Hunt decided to make a safety pin. I think it was a great invention. -
Calculator
William Seward Burroughs created the calculator (abacus). I'm extremely happy about that invention. -
Door Lock
Linus Jr. Yale made the door lock. Sometimes locks scare me so I have mixed feelings about it. -
Barbed Wire
Joseph Glidden made barbed wire. -
Cereal
John Kellogg made cereal. I'm very happy for this invention and his company, it helps me get through life.
