Battle of Panipat
This battle, which was fought by Zahir Ud-din Muhammad Babur and Ibrahim Lodi, is considered the starting point of the Moghul empire. Babur, who had about 1/7th the size of Lodi's army, defeated the Sultan of Delhi's men, and then went on to rule Delhi and Agra, two large cities of both past and present day. -

Even though this company was based in England, it was a huge part of India's history. India was ruled by England from 1613-1947. During that time, England decided to use India's natural resources as a profit for the motherland. In the year 30 AD, the Kushan Empire was founded, led by Kujula Kadphises. The Kushan Empire is well known for spreading the religion of Buddhism across Asia. Even though this empire was not completely enclosed within present-day India, it was a very vital portion of India's history. -
Kerala Begins Trade with the Roman Empire
In the year 77 AD, the Roman Empire began trade with the present-day state of Kerala. When the Roman Empire decided to trade with Kerala, they created a strong bond between the two Empires. Trade between India and other countries all around the world still goes on today, and this is one of the main reasons that this trade occurs. If they didn't trade, it's possible that no one would ever trade with India.
