Originally created in 1975, this act ensured all children and youth with disabilities had the right to access free, appropriate, public education. In 1990 this act was expanded into the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. -
ADA
In 1990, the Americans with Disabilities act was signed into law and it ensured the right to nondiscriminatory treatment in other aspects of life. -
