    The rise of Inca
    The Inca empire started around 1200 AD as a little kingdom and with a leader with the name "Manco Capac."

    The first Emperor

    The first Emperor
    Around 1438 AD, Pachacuti had become emperor of the Inca.
  • 1440

    The expansion of Inca

    The expansion of Inca
    Around 1440 AD, Pachacuti had started to make an expansion of the Inca empire by capturing land in the Andes Mountains which allowed him to create roads and increased trading.

    New structures

    New structures
    Around 1470 AD, Pachacuti had built a society (Machu Picchu) and a religious temple for the sun god Cusco.

    The start of the decline
    Spanish conquest had started to become big. A man named "Pizarro" had found the Incan's and their gold which caused him to start planning against the Incan's.

    Around 1523 AD, Huáscar was killed by Atahuallpa because he was worried about Huáscar's power and connection with Pizarro. Because of this, the people of Inca were divided and starting a civil war.

    Pizarro captured the king which then he told him to put all of the gold and silver he had into a room which the king complied with, but Pizarro forced the king into Christianity and killed the king to make sure he could escape with no issues.

    Pizarro had known that there was a civil war, so he started to plan to get the most out of it. He knew if he held the king hostage he would get lots of gold.

    The people of Inca were angry that they just lost their leader, this caused all of the people to fight against Pizarro. While preparing their second attack, they fell sick to smallpox and the plague which caused them to lose to Pizarro.

    Around 1571, Pizarro had full control over the Inca empire and sold the Incas for slavery and other things. After some time the Inca population decreased and almost fell from millions to thousands.
