    Arriving at Elise Island
I finally arrived at Ellis Island. my family waited for hours for our number to be called. When they finally called "143!" we walked over as a family and answered the questions that they asked. Unfortunately, my wife was sent to medical detention for being pregenant. This made us stay another three days on the crouded island.

    Losing my mother
Although we were in debt, our economic situation was decent, my son was growing up healthy and strong and my wife was as supporting as ever. Everything was going absolutly amazing until last week when my mother was taking a walk and was trampled by a herd of cattle. it's been hard for my whole family.
  • Homestead Act

    Homestead Act
Even though our home is in the middle of a field, the land that we are on doesnt belong to us, it belongs to the government. These past years ive been trying to gain ownership of this long, beautiful stretch of land. Now, the federal government is offering the Homestead Act. At the first chance, i agreed. The land is mine now!
  • Family under attack

    Family under attack
The Natives that settled on this land before us, accused the government of stealing their land. The land that was taken to use for the railroad belonged to the Natiives who wanted it back. So, to proove their point, they attacked our family and many others. It was a tragedy, thankfully no one in my family was seriously injured.
