    Signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965. This gave money to states with low income schools to help them advance their education and this included children with disabilities.

    The government provided money to states to help expand their programs for the children with disabilities. Not only that but they provided money to the schools to help train the teachers on how to be better and teach their kids better.

    The court decided that it is unfair to use test scores to identify if a student is disabled or not. They made the IQ tests unbiased \so that students could take the tests in the language they spoke.

    The plaintiffs wanted the 180 days that handicapped students were in school to be longer because they thought their kids regressed when they werent in school during the summer.

    The school got sued because they took an interpreter away from a deaf student. The court ended up being on the schools side because the child was progressing without the interpreter.

    A student got rejected of special education benefits because they thought his conditions were to severe to help.
  • Endrew F v. Douglas County School District

    Parents sued school because they were not providing a good education. Ruled in court that they needed a higher standard of education to students with disabilities.
