  • Siege of Bexar

    The Siege of Bexar took place in late October 1835. The people involved were the Texas Republican Army and the Mexican Army. A Texan Army was marching on San Antonio de Bexar. The Mexican army suffered a big loss of soldiers and retreated, yet won in the end.
  • The Battle of Gonzales

    The Battle of Gonzales occurred on October 2nd, 1835, and consisted of Mexican troops and Texan settlers. The impact it had on the revolution was that it was the first battle of the Texas Revolution which would go on for a long time. In 1831, Mexican authorities gave Texan settlers a cannon, but later they wanted it back because they thought they would've used it against them. The Texans didn't see how that was fair, and the battle began.
  • The Battle of the Alamo

    The Battle of the Alamo occurred in 1836. The people involved were the Mexicans who were led by Santa Anna and the Texans who Colonel Travis led Its impact on the revolution was that it was a crucial event and showed that the battle would go on for much longer.
  • The Fall of the Alamo

    The Alamo falls on March 6th, 1836. Because of this, 189 Texans died, and 189 Mexicans were killed. Sam Houston sends 'Deaf' Smith to verify if it fell, and he returns with the news that it did.
  • Battle of Concepcion

    The fight began on the morning of October 26th, 1836. One reason this was a major fight was that this was the first occasion Mexico retreated from a battle with Texas. The Texans were smarter and tricked the Mexican Army.
  • Travis writes "Victory or Death" letter

    William Barret Travis writes a letter addressed to all Texans and Americans in the world on February 24th, 1856. The letter says that he has been besieged by over a thousand Mexicans following Santa Anna's rule and has not lost a man. It talks also about how he will not retreat and continue to fignt.
