This subject matter does not get the attention that is deserves in many schools and districts! -
Career-related studies required for all students
I think it is key for young people to gain a more realistic understanding of careers that spark their interest. With the quantity of college graduates who are not career ready and lack a clear understanding of the day-to-day tasks completed by professionals, I believe that internships and shadowing programs would help create a more career ready generation. Additionally, it would reduce worker dissatisfaction, career changes, and money spent unnecessarily of university and career training. -
Meeting between IB and US Department of Education
Developing national learning standards has been a struggle for the US, I feel that it would be beneficial for them to look at an organization that specializes in creating a rigorous curriculum for students and figure out how that might help to serve our diverse student body.
